Nestled in the mountains of Ren’ai Township, Nantou County, the Duda Tribe sits at an altitude of 1,200 to 1,500 meters. Surrounded by mountains and rivers, often covered in mist at dawn, the village resembles a hidden paradise. It is one of the important settlements of the Seediq people, where residents preserve their traditional culture and way of life in harmony with the forest.
However, with steep slopes and winding mountain roads, transportation remains difficult, and access to medical resources is limited.
In August this year, ProtectLife was once again invited by the Kidney Disease Prevention Foundation to participate in a three-day, two-night medical outreach mission in the Toda Tribe.

During this outreach, ProtectLife’s ENNOLIFE Clinical Chemistry Analyzer was able to complete tests and generate health reports within 20 minutes. Combined with on-site interpretation by the Taipei Medical University medical team, residents no longer had to wait over a week for results—they could immediately understand their health status and receive professional advice from physicians on the spot.
For mountain residents with limited transportation, such speed and accuracy can mean the difference between timely treatment and dangerous delays.
The outreach services included 22 health examinations, chronic disease education, and medication consultation. With ProtectLife’s equipment and logistical support, the medical team was able to operate efficiently despite resource constraints, accurately track each resident’s test data, and ensure the quality and timeliness of medical assessments.
This marks the second consecutive year that ProtectLife has joined the outreach mission to the Toda Tribe.
At ProtectLife, we believe the true value of medical technology is not only in improving testing speed and precision, but also in bridging geographical barriers—ensuring that residents in remote areas receive the same quality of healthcare as those in urban centers.
Looking ahead, ProtectLife will continue working with the Kidney Disease Prevention Foundation and other partners, bringing professional equipment and genuine care to more communities in need, so that the pursuit of health never stops because of distance or terrain.
